DIY: Decorate your Christmas tree and table with the tiara sea urchin!
Their round shell covered with perfectly regular folds makes them a unique and delicate ornament for Christmas.
THE ESSENTIALS BEFORE YOU START
- 1 A4 sheet
- 1 pencil
- 1 rule
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- A hole punch or a large needle
- 1 skein of cotton in colors matching your papers
For your decorative paper needs...
- Cut a rectangle measuring 10 x 29.7cm from your sheet
- Draw vertical lines every 1 centimeter.
- Make a 5cm mark from line 0 and line 18.
- Draw diagonal lines from the marker to the bottom of line 2 then parallel lines as shown opposite. Do the same upwards.
- Make a cut at line 19 as shown opposite
- Draw a horizontal line 1cm from the top edge and 1cm from the bottom edge. Make a small needle hole where you see arrows on the drawing
- Then fold like an accordion then as indicated, in order to mark the diagonal folds
- Unfold then fold to make a sort of bridge. Put the tape on. Pass the thread through the holes then open your sea urchin
